Old Historic US 27 Motor Tour & Clare Brewfest 2011

The 5th Annual Old Historic US 27 Motor Tour is once again stopping overnight in Clare on Thursday, August 25, 2011! Welcome the cars as they parade in from the roundabout at 6 pm. The cars will travel on McEwan to Fifth Street turning East on Fifth then South on Pine and into the 5 th Street Parking Lot via Fourth Street. We encourage you to line the parade route with signs and cheers of welcome for the tour as they arrive in our community.
Then join us in celebrating the tour stop with an evening of food, fun, live music from Night Shift Band, and of course - classic cars! The free event will be held in the 5th Street Parking Lot downtown Clare from 6 – 9 p.m.
We are also extremely pleased to announce the Clare Brewfest 2011 - “A sampling of Michigan’s finest craft beers.”! This premier craft beer tasting event is co-sponsored by Clare Rotary Club and Clare Main Street and is being held in conjunction with the Old 27 Tour event. The Clare Brewfest and will feature eight Michigan breweries with a total of 24 samples of their finest brews. The event will be held off East Fourth Street in downtown Clare from 5-10 pm. The cost is only $10 for entry into the event and 5 tastings. Additional tastings can be purchased during the event. All proceeds from this event go to benefit the Clare community. Clare Main Street Farm & Arts Market

The Clare Main Street Board is excited to announce the formation of the Clare Main Street Farm & Arts Market. This farmer’s market hopes to combine produce and foodstuff, with arts and crafts to provide this community with one-stop shopping every week beginning June 16 to the end of the “season”.
This Market will be held Thursdays from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in conjunction with the Clare Summer Concert Series all under the water tower in the Clare City Park. Food shopping and music should be an unbeatable combination for fun and relaxation.
We are currently accepting applications from vendors and invite produce growers, artists, crafters, and purveyors of such items as maple syrup, honey, etc., to consider this new market as an outlet for selling your products.
